Grass Protection Mesh is a thick HDPE mesh designed for protecting and reinforcing grassed areas which are used by vehicles and pedestrians. It is manufactured with slip resistance in mind using an oscillated structure producing a fully tested slip resistant surface.
Grass Protection Mesh prevents rutting, smearing and wear caused by all manner of traffic. Cars, Trucks, pedestrians or even golf cart to name but a few. It is installed directly on top of an existing grass surface with metal U-pins making it a fast and affordable solution for large industrial projects and small residential solutions alike.

When to use Standard vs. Heavy Duty Protection
Standard ground protection has a thickness of 7/16” and will be acceptable for most situations.
Heavy Duty is thicker at 9/16” and has a closer knit to prevent tearing, even when using construction equipment.
Both the standard and heavy duty versions can accept weight of up to 8 tons per axle (imposed load). Load bearing capacity is dependent on other factors such as frequency of use, type of traffic, nature of soil and drainage.

Ground Protection Mats are designed to protect the ground and grass from becoming churned up and muddy; the diamond-hole form allows grass to grow back through the mat, preserving the green and fresh look of your lawn!
Quick & Easy Installation
They are extremely easy to install using our u-pins. Just fix the mat into the ground using the pins.
Safety Tested
These mats have been safety tested to and comply with ASTM D1621, the Standard Test Method for Compressive Properties of Rigid Cellular Plastics.
